Whatever its purpose, whether for transporting your motorbike, your outdoor and hobby equipment, or for business, a trailer is undoubtedly a versatile and convenient bit of kit. If you’ve gone to the expense of investing in a trailer purchase then it’s probably become pretty indispensable to you.
However, if you’re an outdoor enthusiast trying a new activity, buying a trailer might seem like a big investment when you don’t exactly know how much use you’ll get out of it or even whether you’re going to continue with the hobby in the long term.
- The use of a trailer can become so indispensable that you may choose to buy.
- It’s a versatile and convenient piece of essential kit.
- It’s an expensive investment if you’re not sure how much you’ll use it.
So when is it worth hiring a trailer?
If it’s for a one-off or rare situation, or in the early days of a new hobby, hiring a trailer is probably a better use of money as you can make it as flexible and affordable as you like, you’re not responsible for any maintenance and servicing costs, there’s no long-term commitment, and no risk of buyer’s remorse!
But – you are limited by availability and budget.
If, on the other hand you need a trailer for business, or you have a long term hobby that requires lots of equipment, it’s fairly clear cut as the cost of hiring a trailer every time you wanted to transport goods would soon become poor value for money.
In this situation, buying a trailer is more likely to be the obvious answer as you can choose a model that suits to your needs and from then on you have immediate access – notwithstanding the upfront cost commitment and subsequent service and maintenance.
Unfortunately, despite the convenience, if it’s your own trailer you can be sure that there’ll be occasions when for some reason it’s in need of a repair, or you’ve booked it in for a service or maintenance, and you unexpectedly need a trailer.
Obviously, above all, it’s essential that your trailer is returned to you safe and serviceable condition and inconveniently this can mean that it’s off the road for a few days – just when you need it – so if your trailer is in for repair but you still need access to one, we have a range available that we hire out for as little or as long as you need.
Likewise, you can hire a trailer for when you simply need access to one but have no need to buy one.
Our hire range includes bike trailers, box trailers, camping trailers, car trailers, flatbed trailers, general purpose trailers, horse trailers, plant trailers and utility trailers – all at competitive rates with additional days available at a discounted rate.
Until your own trailer is back on the road, or for those occasional situations when you need the use of one, we’re happy to help.
