Do I need an appointment to visit?
Appointments are recommended, especially for servicing and repairs, to ensure we can give your trailer the attention it needs.
Are you open on the weekend?
Yes, we are open on the weekend by appointment only.
What time can I drop my trailer off / pick my trailer up?
Here at Cheshire Trailers you can drop you trailer off from 7am, and pick your trailer up until 5pm.
Do you attend shows?
Yes, we now attend plenty of shows across the summer months, Cheshire Show, Nantwich Show, Anglesey Show, and the Blenheim Palace Horse Trials are the main shows we do. We are also regularly at Aintree racecourse showing off our EQ range.

What types of trailers do you sell?
We offer a wide range of trailers including general-purpose trailers, car transporters, plant trailers, tipper trailers, livestock trailers, and more. Availability may vary, so please contact us for current stock.
Do you sell new and used trailers?
Yes, we supply both new and used trailers. All used trailers are checked to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
Can you help me choose the right trailer?
Absolutely. If you’re unsure which trailer suits your needs, our team can advise you based on load type, weight, towing vehicle, and usage.
Do your trailers come with a warranty?
New trailers typically come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms vary by model—please ask for details at the time of purchase.

Typically around 3 hours.
What brands do you service?
At Cheshire Trailers, we service and repair most leading trailer brands, including Ifor Williams, Brian James Trailers, Nugent Trailers, Indespension, and Bateson Trailers. (Anything with wheels really!)
Our experienced workshop team is equipped to handle routine servicing, safety checks, brake and suspension work, lighting repairs, and general maintenance on both braked and unbraked trailers.
If you have a different make or a custom trailer, we’re still happy to help—just get in touch and we’ll let you know how we can assist.
Do you service all trailer makes and models?
Yes, we service and repair most trailer makes and models, regardless of where they were originally purchased.
What does a trailer service include?
A standard service includes checks on brakes, bearings, suspension, tyres, lights, hitch, and general structural condition. Our 30-point inspection includes the following:

How often should my trailer be serviced?
We recommend servicing your trailer at least once a year or more frequently if it is used heavily or for commercial purposes.
Can you carry out emergency repairs?
We do our best to accommodate urgent repairs where possible. Please call us as soon as you notice an issue.
Parts & Accessories
Do you sell trailer parts and accessories?
Yes, we stock a range of trailer parts including lights, tyres, brakes, couplings, jockey wheels, and more. We stock all standard parts for Ifor Williams, Nugent, Equi-Trek, and many more brands, from jockey wheels, to dropsides, to everything inbetween.
Can you source specific or specialist parts?
If we don’t have a part in stock, we can usually source it for you. Just let us know what you need.
Legal & Safety
Do trailers need an MOT in the UK?
Most trailers do not currently require an MOT, but they must be roadworthy and compliant with UK law. Regular servicing is essential.
What is the maximum weight my trailer can carry?
This depends on the trailer’s Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and your towing vehicle’s limits. We can help you understand safe and legal towing limits.
Do I need a license to tow a trailer?
License requirements depend on when you passed your driving test and the combined weight of your vehicle and trailer. Please check current DVLA guidance or ask us for advice.

Yes, it is very secure. We have CCTV, secure gate locks, and above all – insurance in case anything we’re to happen. So yes, it is incredibly secure to leave your trailer here.
